We were pleasantly surprised to find the Rye Patch campground, while returning from Wyoming. It was in the AAA campground book, and we decided to give it a look. We stayed next to the river, and the campground was quiet, due to after July 4th weekend. I would definitely stay there again, en route to or from our journey.
After living and camping in California, this campground is nothing as what I feared: it isn't that tight; yes we were able to pull our slide out and could have with the awning (but it rained early the next morning). I found the sites to be what it is: a large campground for 325 RVs. I would come back here again, especially in June, as one night the temperature was down to 33F!
